2010 has been declared the International Year of Biodiversity (IYB) by the United Nations. The tenth global biodiversity conference [Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 10)] is going on in Nagoya, Japan [18-29 October 2010] where 193 signatories to the Convention on Biological Diversity are attending the Nagoya COP10 global biodiversity conference to agree new biodiversity targets for 2020.
